Abstract

The objectives of this research are to find out the preparation, implementation and outcomes of Remedial program of IPA Natural Science Subject of Secondary Schools in Makassar city. Sample of this research were 24 Science teachers selected from 8 Secondary Schools with A certification in Makassar city. This is a descriptive research which employed an ex-post facto method on remedial program implementation of Science teacher of secondary schools based on curriculum 2013. The Instrument used to collect data were by observation sheet, collection were by observation, interview guideline, and camera for documentation. Technique of data collection were by observation, interview, and documentation.The instrument was tested by the 2 experts who validated and analyzed the instrument by items validation through score number. The analysis was conducted by data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusion. The result indicates that the Science teachers is on the fair category ( 77,00%). In conducting the remedial program preparation.The teachers have conducted the remedial program by organizing the lesson plan by preparing the regular material, remedial material, and enrichment material according to Regulation of Education and Cultur Ministry No 103 year 2014. The implementation of remedial program by Science teachers is on thr fair category (73,27%). Teachers have implemented the remedial program, even though the implementation was not fully meet the technical instruction of the program. The outcomes of remedial program implementation of Science subject is on the low category (63,75%). Decresing of remedial program result caused by preparing and applicated remedial program doing by teacher on the fair category, and given effect to result of remedial program. Abstract

The Impact of the Zoom Application on Online Learning during the Covid-19 Pandemic. The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of the Zoom application in online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The essence of the problem is what are the processes, constraints, and variations in the form of applying the Zoom application to online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic? In this study using a qualitative research type. The population in this study were students of the State University of Makassar, while the sample selection was students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Department who conducted lectures by applying the zoom application in their lectures provided by the lecturer. The results of the analysis found that the Zoom application is the application that many lecturers choose to interact directly, the variation of online learning used in the zoom application is to combine various other learning applications, namely Kelase, Google Classroom, Google Form, What Up, and others. The constraints faced are the large amount of data or quotas in use, even the material described is not finished because the effective time provided by Zoom is only 40 minutes, also with unsupportive signals, so that sometimes exiting the application, and the difficulty of collecting tasks.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) find and describe the embodiment of cultural values ​​in the Kappalak Tallumbatua Sinrilik text, and (2) the relevance of cultural values ​​in the Kappalak Tallumbatua Sinrilik text to the character education of high school students. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. The object of research is the various cultural values ​​contained in the Sinrilik Kappalak Tallumbatua text and their relevance to character education for high school students. The data in this study are in the form of paragraphs, sentences, and words related to cultural values ​​in the Kappalak Tallumbatua Sinrilik Text and the 1993 translation of Aburaerah Arief and Zainuddin Hakim and the curriculum for high school level Makassar Language subjects. Collecting research data through reading - listening techniques and note taking techniques. The data analysis technique is through reading, identification, classification, analysis, and drawing conclusions. The results showed: (1) Cultural values ​​include; (a) cultural values ​​in human relations with God which consist of piety, piety, belief in destiny, gratitude, and desire, (b) cultural values ​​in human relations with society which consist of values ​​of deliberation, mutual cooperation, harmony or balance . and solidarity, (c) cultural values ​​in human relations with each other, which consist of the values ​​of love, loyalty, obedience to parents, and wisdom, (d) cultural values ​​in human relations with oneself which consist of the values ​​of willingness, learning, respect high in customs and religion, courage and vigilance, and (e) cultural values ​​in the relationship between humans and nature, consisting of human values ​​that are integrated with nature and humans who control or exploit nature. (2) The text of the Sinrilik Kappalak Tallumbatua is very relevant to character education for high school students, including religious character, honesty, hard work, love of peace, responsibility, love for the country

Abstract

Speaking skills and parental educational background are thought to have a strong influence on language politeness in daily communication. The speaking skills and educational background of parents in this study are intended to determine their effect on improving language politeness of Makassar State University students. This study used a pre-experimental method. The instrument used in the study was a test, namely pretest and postest. The results showed that the application of the speaking skills teaching material model can improve language politeness. The results of the second study indicate that the educational background of parents can influence the improvement of students' language politeness. Although, when compared to the increase in test results between groups of students with educational backgrounds of parents who graduated from S1, the effect was not significant.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to find out the racial issues that were contained in the poem and to find out the impact of racism on black people in the poem. The method used was descriptive method with a social approach. The researcher really understands the contents of the poem by reading it repeatedly, noting important parts, then compiling data that are directly related to this research. The results showed that in Jericho Brown's poetry, there were many issues of racism that occurred both from the past and the present. There were racism types that can be found in the poem, such as discrimination, injustice, skin color, segregation and slavery and in this poem, it is also found that there are racist acts against black people in the form of oppression, death, hunger, and death that happened to people. black skinned. In this study, it is explained that racist acts have a bad impact on those who experience them and there are many types of racist acts that can be understood. The conclusion of this research was various types of racist acts are found in three of Jericho Brown's poems entitled the tradition, at the end of hell, and langstone blue, namely discrimination actions, injustice, segregation, slavery and skin color by people with white skin against black people in the past and present.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan menulis puisi melalui penerapan metode mind mapping dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia pada Mahasiswa Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Kota Makassar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (classroom action research). Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah Mahasiswa Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Bosowa Kota Makassar sebanyak 20 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik observasi, tes keterampilan menulis puisi dan dokumentasi. Kriteria keberhasilan tindakan dalam penelitian ini adalah terjadinya peningkatan nilai rata-rata keterampilan menulis puisi pada Mahasiswa Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Bosowa Kota Makassar dan mencapai ketuntasan ≥ 80%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode mind mapping dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis puisi Mahasiswa Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Bosowa Kota Makassar. Hal tersebut berdasarkan adanya peningkatan nilai rata-rata keterampilan menulis puisi dari 70,95 pada siklus I menjadi 81,43 pada siklus II dan peningkatan ketuntasan keterampilan menulis puisi siswa dari 76,19% pada siklus I menjadi 95,24% pada siklus II.

Abstract

Type of this research was Classroom Ation Research which based on several steps, such as planning, action implementation observation, evaluation, and reflection. Subject of the research were IV class students SD Nusa Harapan Permai Makassar as many as 23 students. Data collection used observation and the next test analyzed by descriptive method. The result of the research showed that the application of Scramble Method for Increasing of Comprehension Reading Skill students could improve learnig result of students in IV class SD Nusa Harapan Permai Makassar. In this case based on the improvement average value of learning result from 69.13% in cycle I became 78.26% in cycle II and the increase of average value is eleven percent. So, this research is considered successful.

Abstract

The aim of this study was the result of social studies material Severe Resistance fighters’ figure at the Dutch occupation and Japan through a model of the student clear Role-Playing V SD Instruction New Tello penilitian II study is a class act. The data collection technique used is the technique tests and observation. The subjects were students of class V SD Instruction New Tello II Makassar with the number of 30 students. It is proved from the first cycle, namely that scored above 85 to as many as 4 people or 13.33 %. While the number of students who reach a value of less than as many as 26 people or 86.66%. While on the second cycle, there is an increase showed that the number of students achieving top grades 85 to 21 persons, or 70%. While the number of students who reach a value of less than 85% that is 9 or 30%. Therefore, it can be concluded that the ability of learning outcomes Severe Leaders Struggle material fighters in Dutch and Japanese colonization in Class V SD Instruction New Tello II was increased after the applied model of role playing.
